Boilerplate
Green Hastings is an independent, evidence-first campaign for a greener Hastings: fewer cars where people walk, a seafront that isn't a car park, more trees, and more community action. Every factual claim on the site is sourced, dated and publicly correctable. It is not affiliated with any political party — including the Green Party — and is built by the same person as the neutral information services Swim Hastings and Live Hastings, which report facts and do not campaign. The two roles are kept separate by a published firewall.

Hastings hosted two of East Sussex's six School Streets trial schools in 2021; after a positive evaluation, all three permanent schemes went to other towns.

Allocated to cycling and walking infrastructure in East Sussex since 2020 with, per Hastings Urban Bikes' freedom-of-information campaign, no new infrastructure delivered. The county's confirmed new cycle track in 2025 measured 98 metres.

2030
The year Hastings Borough Council promised a carbon net zero town when it declared a climate emergency in 2019. Its own pages now say Hastings "may not reach net zero by 2030".
